This Edwards nXDS6i complete overhaul was completed for a customer in Research & Development who needed a fast turnaround to minimise downtime.
The steps for the job include :
- Completely stripping the pump down
- Give it a total clean with the Aqua Blast
- Replacing all the bearings
- Replacing all seals, including tip seals
- Replacing all O-rings
- Replacing the shims and carriages
- Replacing the shaft end cap
- Washers, screws and plugs were replaced, as were the exhaust & ballast valves
- Lastly, we replaced the springs
- The final stage of the overhaul was to rebuild the pump and carry out a thorough test in-house.
