In summer 2021 we carried out a major overhaul on a Busch RA400 Pump for a food manufacturer in Scotland.
They were having problems with one of their pumps and called us to assist. We provided them with a free quote, which they found very agreeable, we started on what is a lengthy job that requires precision and expertise.
The pump was collected from the factory and brought to our fully-equipped workshop in Doncaster. We carried out a full inspection and assessment, discovering that the pump had seized, and the vanes were smashed.
We informed the client of our findings, confirming the cost, before we carryied out the repairs. We replaced all filters, o rings, gaskets, seals, washers and shims. The cooling system was checked, and we replaced the strainer/coil and did a complete flush of the pump to remove and residue and dirt.
As part of our overhaul, we repainted the pump before rebuilding it and putting it through a rigorous testing program. Only when we’re satisfied that everything is in tip top condition do we return it to the customer with a full report and our guarantee. We also recommended that they sign up to a regular maintenance plan to ensure the pump stays in optimum working condition.
Our costs for an overhaul include all spares, consumables, labour, and transport to and from your facility.
