New Case Study –  Aerzen GM4S Major “Offsite” Service

Servicing your vacuum pump or blower will ensure it runs efficiently, keeping costs down and prolonging its life.

Our latest major service was an emergency job carried out on an Aerzen GM4S for MBA Polymers in Worksop. The job was completed in our purpose-built workshop in Doncaster.

The steps for the job include :

  • The blower was collected from the customer
  • Our engineers fully disassembled the blower in our workshop
  • The blower was degreased completely and thoroughly cleaned using our Aqua Blasting machine
  • We removed the existing bearings and replaced them
  • We removed the existing shaft bushes and replaced them
  • We removed the existing radial shaft seals and replaced them
  • We removed the existing O rings and replaced them
  • We removed the existing piston rings and replaced them
  • We replaced the splashback
  • Once all the components were replaced we rebuilt the pump
  • The end float and gear timings were reset
  • The oil was replaced
  • Finally, we carried out a ‘soak test’ for 12 hours

The maintenance manager Mark Perry sent us a message – “Thank you for your prompt response on this unit, it’s appreciated”
